Plan Your Cruise With These Quick Tips

Are you dreaming of setting sail on a magnificent cruise? Planning a cruise can be both exhilarating and overwhelming, but fear not! Get ready to embark on the ultimate cruise vacation with these few quick tips.

Now, let’s dive into some tips and tricks for planning your next cruise adventure!

Destination

Research different cruise destinations and find one that ignites your wanderlust. Whether it’s the sun-soaked Caribbean, the awe-inspiring Alaskan fjords, or the enchanting Mediterranean, there’s a world of possibilities awaiting you.

Make a cruise wishlist and narrow your cruise down from there. Consider the cost of transportation to get to and from the departure port, hotel for pre and post cruise (if needed), and best time of year to sail based on your availability. Also, take advantage of booking in advance. In the cruise industry, the earlier you book, the lower the cost will be (similar to booking flights.)

Itinerary

The best thing about cruising is your destination itinerary is already set for you. All you’d have to plan is what you want to do while in each port and onboard during sea days.

Use our digital cruise planner to effortlessly organize your itinerary, packing list, and excursion plans. Our planner is your ultimate companion, keeping all the essential details at your fingertips, from booking confirmations to onboard activities. It’s like having a personal cruise advisor right in your bag!

From onboard activities to shore excursions, make sure to include a mix of relaxation, adventure, and exploration.

Cruise Food

Indulge in every delectable culinary experience you can have onboard. On all of our travels, I think it’s a great experience to eat food and try special regional meals that we don’t normally have at home. A good meal or special food that you can only get at certain destinations definitely enhances your trip experience.

Cruising Ducks

I was surprised to learn that hiding and finding rubber ducks on cruise ships are very common and it’s one of those “if you know, you know” things amongst cruisers (at least from what I’ve been told by Carnival and Royal Caribbean cruisers.)

To participate, you will need some rubber ducks and cruise duck tags. That’s where our printable duck tags come into play!

Our adorable print and fill tags can be used for hiding your cruise ducks around the ship. Once downloaded, simply print, cut out the tags and fill in your information on the provided lines. Use string or twine to attach the tags to your rubber ducks.

Next, share a photo of your ducks on the Official Cruising Ducks Facebook Group by scanning the QR code displayed on our tags.

Take Lots of Pictures

Don’t forget to capture precious memories of your cruise adventure. If anything the pandemic has taught me is being grateful for photos and videos from our pre-pandemic trips.

When traveling, I used to feel like we took way too many photos and videos but when lockdown happened, it was so good for my mental health to go through photos, videos and old blog posts about our travels. It gave me hope that we would be at that point again after the pandemic.

Remember, planning your dream cruise is half the fun. So, embrace the excitement and let your imagination run wild!

Bon voyage and happy cruising!
