Creating A Bucket List of Big Dreams

We’re still here! Life has been hectic and super busy at my job but things are slowing down now which means I can start cranking out some more blog posts hopefully over the next few weeks. Instead of going completely silent until then, I want to sneak in a fun, casual post about making my bucket list.

I’ve wanted to write one for over a year now, but never got around to it. Instead of keeping it in my notebook, I thought it would be cool to share it with you all.

Some of it may seem a bit outrageous (just wait until you see the last part!) but as the title of this post says, it’s a bucket list of big dreams! And speaking of dreams!

Have you ever heard of making a vision board? I made one a couple of years ago and placed it on the wall in my office (at my job since I spend most of my time there) and I like to look up at my board and visualize all of the places I’d like for my family and I to visit. Some of them actually came true!

So anyway, here goes my bucket list. Please don’t judge me LOL

Surf City, NC

Personal Life

  • Finish redecorating our house, change the flooring to anything other than carpet (so bad with dogs!)
  • Donate to those in need and be active in our community by being involved in the schools Tristan will attend
  • More date nights!
  • Rebuild our deck
  • Decorate our backyard (maybe a gazebo, stone walkways, a recreation of something that inspired us from our travels)
  • Buy Tristan a car when he gets his driver’s license (or he could have our old one)
  • Keep our blog up and running for years to come
  • Continue adopting dogs from animal shelters
  • Buy a DJI drone for awesome aerial footage in our travel videos

NC Museum of Art

Thinking Very Big

  • Buy a castle or chateau and possibly rent it out as an event venue or vacation rental
  • Cruise on a super yacht
  • Buy a condo in Myrtle Beach since we love visiting it so much and possibly rent it out as a vacation rental when we’re not there
  • Attend the annual Grand Masked Ball at the Palace of Versailles
  • Build a house we designed ourselves
  • Fly first class on a long haul flight (at least once!) Maybe rack up enough miles to do it for free LOL

I’m sure the list will have more additions over time or maybe even delete some that I later feel is not worth keeping.

Wow, looking at all of this stuff! I’m 35 years old and feel like there’s not going to be enough years (and money) to do everything. Man, life goes by fast!
